The green fluorescein stain on the hazy-blue cornea
delineates the
corneal ulcer. The ulcer has started to heal. Note the new
capillaries that are bringing nutrients and healing substances
toward the ulcer bed. Under ideal conditions the ulcer can heal
completely with no scarring in about two weeks.
