Dog and cat x-rays (a better term for "x-rays" is "radiographs") can be viewed here so you can test your diagnostic skills by taking the fun quiz.  You can see how you scored right away. This x-ray image shows a an arrowhead in a dog's stomach  Then go back to the x-ray (radiograph!) and have another look.  All animal hospitals have x-ray equipment to aid in evaluating dog and cat patients.  Many are now switching to digital radiography, the newest method of visualizing the invisible inner world of dog and cat patients.  Specialty veterinary practices often have CT Scanning ("Cat Scan" equipment) which is a truly fabulous way to visualize tissues.  Test yourself, have some fun, and tell or email your pet loving friends about this page so they can take ThePetCenter x-ray quiz.

Click on a radiograph and a full sized photo will show better detail in a new window. Study it as long as you like then the window to come back to this quiz page. Select one correct answer under each image. Some images display a normal situation and some show various abnormalities.  In practice, veterinarians always take at least two different views of any body part they are studying.  You will have the added challenge of seeing only one view.  Have fun! Yes, this can be an open-book quiz if you want!
